Patna, November 8, 2009:
Notre Dame Academy girls set the track ablaze winning six team championships titles of different categories in the Notre Dame Academy inter-school girls athleticchampionships at their home ground here on Sunday.
Notre Dame Avcademy girls clinched the senior team event title while St Michael’s School claimed the second position. In the junior girls’event, the team championships title went in favour of Notre Dame Acadmy while St Michael’s School became the runners-up.
Chief guest Brother Jose, Director of Nav Deepti School, Patna gave away prizes at a colourful closing ceremony. The Parent Teacher Association of Notre Dame Academy organised the meet to celebrate the golden jubilee of the school.
Earlier on the first day, Notre Dame Academy girls cornered glory claiming 33 medals in the track and filed events. Aishwarya of the hosts school raced to glory in the 400-m run.

Notre Dame Academy girls won four more titles in sub-junior, mini, cadet and flower girls’ section. DAV Patliputra took the second position in sub-junior girls while DPS won the silver in mini girls section. Julie School were adjudged runners-up in cadetand flower girls sections.
Aishwarya Sinha of Notre Dame Academy won the coveted individual championship honours in senior girls while Sradha Choudhary of the same school hogged limelight in junior group.
Other winners are; Flower girls-Tanya (Notre Dame Academy), cadet girls-Mohini (Notre Dame Academy), mini girls-Suranjana (Notre Dame Academy) and sub-junior girls-Abhilash, Aprna and Sneha (Notre Dame Academy).

Earlier, Aishwarya took the gold medal in 100-m sprint. Abha Suman of Notre Dame Academy and Swapanil got the second and third positions respectively.
Principal of St Xavier’s High School Father George inaugurated the function. Notre Dame Academy Principal Sister Tessy, Sister Sonia, Sister Neeta and Director of Bihar Cricket Academy Amikar Dayal were present in the opening function.
PTA president Smita Labh welcomed the guests.
