Patna, November 10, 2009: Tushar Kanti of Loyola High School won the cadet boys’ singles title of the inter-school table tennis tournament defeating his schoolmate Gagan Nir 11-7, 6-11, 11-9, 9-11 and 11-7 at the Secretariat hall here on Tuesday.
In cadet girls’ final, Simmi Ghosh (PCS) beat Chanchal Dutta (Christ Church) 11-4, 11-2, 11-1 while in sub-junior girls’ final Varsha Bhagyasri (DPS) beat Simmi Ghosh (PCS) 11-7, 11-7, 11-5.

Junior boys’ singles semi-final: Rahul Kumar (Patna Central School) bt Aniket (Loyala) 11-7, 7-11, 11-5; 9-11, 11-5; Ankit Kumar (Patna Central School) bt Pyush D Gandhi(DPS) 11-7, 8-11, 12-14, 11-6, 11-6.
Sub-junior boys singles semi-final: Ankit Kumar (Patna Central School) bt Sourav Kumar (PCM) 11-8, 11-8, 11-7; Amit Kumar (Holly Mission) bt Vivek Nishad (Radiant) 11-4, 9-11, 3-11, 11-8, 11-2.
Junior boys double semi-final: Gagan and Amit bt Pyush and Rahul 6-11, 11-7, 13-15, 11-5, 11-6; Ankit and Rahul bt Ayush and Kanhaiya 11-6, 12-10, 11-9.
