Shikshayatan Public School and Aryan Public School,Ara move into second round


Patna, November 20, 2009: Shikshayatan Public School, Patna and Aryan Public School, Ara cruised into the second round of the 25th All-India Sukhdeo Naraun memorial inter-school cricket tournament at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Friday.

Shikshayatan Public School outclassed Marwari Pathshala, Bhagalpur, by 29 runs while Aryan Public School, Ara, defeated Teresa The Mother School, Patna, by eight wickets.

Vikas Kumar of Shikshayatan, who scored 40 runs, was declared man of the match. In the other match, Bhisham Kumar of Ara, who scored 36 runs, was named man of the match.

Brief scores:
Shikshayatan Public School: 117 for nine wickets in 25 overs (Vikas-40, Alind-30, Krishna-10, Shashikant-3/14, Sanjay Kumar-3/14).
Marwari Pathshala: 88 all out in 19.4 overs (Sanjay Kumar 48, VikaS-3/14, Yuvraj-3/16, Alind-2/20).
Teresa The Mother School: 76 for nine wickets in 25 overs ( Ranjit-43, Rajesh-12, RK Bharati-3/23, Ankit Raj-2/13).
Aryan Public School: 80 for two wickets in 13.4 overs (Bhisham-36, Nitesh Kumar-22, Rajesh-1/17).
