Munger, Nalanda in CK Nayudu semifinals

Patna, November 10, 2009: Munger and Nalanda stormed into the semi-finals of the Bihar state CK Nayudu inter-district under-19 school cricket championships at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Tuesday.

Munger beat Banka by 58 runs while Nalanda beat Siwan by 11 runs in their quarterfinal matches. Batting first Munger scored 136 for the loss of nine wickets off 25 overs. In reply, Banka could manage to score 78 runs. Nanaland scored 101 runs off 25 overs while Siwan could muster 90 runs.

Brief scores: Munger: 136 for nine wickets in 25 overs (Amit 38, Parwez Sekh 20, Vikas 15, Gulrez Hasan 22). Banka: 78 all out in 25 overs (Rohit 10, Amit Chandra 3 for 16).
Nalanda: 101 all out in 23.3 overs (Akash Verma 21, Arif 20, Sagar Anand 15, Shashikant 3 for 8, Shahnawaz 3 for 14). Siwan: 90 all out in 24 overs (Imran Nazir 23, Avinash Chandra 4 for 13).
