Patna Women’s College ‘A’ clinch throwball title

Patna, November 22, 2009:
Patna Women’s College ‘A’ struggled to down Patna Women’s College ‘B’ 13-15, 15-6, 15-10, 15-13 in an exhibition throwball match to celebrate their annual sports day here.

Leading from the front Kamna Bharati of Patna Women’s College ‘B’ gave her side a perfect start by winning the first set at 15-13. In the second set Patna Women’s College ‘A’ bounced back with some accurate throw by skipper Neha Singh and Ankita Narayan. ‘A’ won the second set at 15-6.

After winning the second set, Patna Women’s College ‘A’ took full command of the game and won the next two sets and the match easily 15-10, 15-13. Suman, Setu Shekhar, Priyanka and Rebika played well for Patna Women’s College ‘B’ team.

Patna Women’s College principal, Sister Doris D’ Suza, AC, inaugurated the match. Throwball Association of Bihar secretary Neeraj Kumar Pappu was present on the occasion.
