Patna, November 22, 2009: Bihar stormed into the final of the 32nd sub junior national football championship for Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy at JRD Sstadium in Jamshedpur on Sunday. Bihar edged past Orissa 4-3 in penalty shootouts.
According to Bihar Football Association secretary, Syed Ejaz Hussain, with this victory, Bihar booked the ticket for the final phase of the tournament to be held at Gurgaon from December 10.
After a goalless first half, Bivision Ho struck the first goal for Bihar in the 85th minute. Orissa equalised the lead in the dying moments. In the shootouts, Sajal Mallick, Satish Deogam and Sanjay Biruli found the target for Bihar.
Arjun bikram Shah, president, Bihar Football Association and its secretary Syed Ejaz Hussain congratulated the team for their stunning performance.
