Patna ‘A’ proved their supremacy in Bihar table tennis, one again. Patna ‘A’ beat Madhepura 3-1 to retain the men’s team championships title of the Prof BP Roy memorial 58th Bihar state and inter-district table tennis tournament at the Bihar YoungMen’s Institute (BYMI) here on Sunday.
Drabhanga, spearheaded by flamboyant Ahana Pal captured the women’s team championship crown defeating Patna 3-1 in the final.
In singles matches, all top ranked players led by Varsha Kumari (Katihar), Pooja Kumari (Madhepura), Shama Perween (Katihar), Varsha Bhagyasri (Patna), Riya Kumari (Katihar), Riyanshi Kumari (Madhepura), Banti Kumari (Katihar) and Pooja (Katihar) entered the quarter-finals of the cadet group.
