Patna, November 14, 2009: Jitendra Yadav of Ranchi Zone stood first in 1500 m race of the All-India Mahatma Hans Raj Aryan tournament at the Mithilesh Stadium here on Saturday.
He clocked 4:36 minute. Modassir Khan (Ranchi Zone) and Amit Singh (UP Zone) got the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Earlier, Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Renu Devi inaugurated the championship in a colourful function. RS Sharma, secretary, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, felicitated the minister. Manju Mehta, examination controller, DAV Education Board, New Delhi, Mohan Lalji, general secretary, Arya Vidya Sabha, New Dehli, RK Chauhan, regional director, Patna Zone and LR Saini, regional director, Ranchi Zone were present at the inaugural function.
