Patna, November 9, 2009:
Bihar Police entered the semifinal of the Rameshwar Singh memorial football tournament trouncing Patna XI by 3-0 in the inaugural match at the New Police Lines ground here on Monday.
Bihar Police took 1-0 lead in the first half.
Monu Sama opened the account in the 12th minute. He increased the tally to 2-0 in the 47th minute. Birendra Gurung made it 3-0 in the 49th minute.
Earlier, PN Rai, IG, Patna Zone was inaugurated the eight-team tournament. Jitendra Kumar, DIG, Central Range and Vineet Vinayak, SSP, Patna graced the inaugural function.
