Patna, November 23, 2009:Siddharha Senior Secondary School, Deoria booked their berths in the pre-quarter-finals of the 25th All India Sukhdeo Narain memorial inter-school cricket tournament defeating St Joseph’s School, Patna, by five wickets at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Monday.
Krishna Mohan Pandey (Deoria), who scored 25 runs, was adjudged man of the match.
In the first match, Ashwani Public School, Danapur, tamed Sports Hostel, Gorakhpur by 33 runs to enter the second round. Ishan Kishan (Danapur), who scored 38 runs, was declared man of the match.
Brief scores: Ashwani Public School, Danapur: 121 all out in 24.5 overs (Ishan Kishan-38, Balram Ghosh-24, Kumar Raj-13, Prince-3/16, Dharampal-3/22, Rahul-2/18).
Sports Hostel, Gorakhpur: 88 all out in 20.4 overs (Dhananjay Sarkar-14, Sanjay Mukherjee-14, Raj Krishan3/14, Prashant-3/14).
St Joseph’s School, Patna: 69 all out in 17.2 overs (Roshan-16, Nandan-13, Rahul Singh-3/13, Swetank Roy-2/18).
Siddhartha School, Deoria: 73 for five wickets in 16.3 overs (Krishna Mohan Pandey-25, Vivek Singh-20, Sumit Ranjan-2/15).
