Patna, November 5, 2009:
Sri Ram Govind Prasad Sah High School, Byapur entered the semi-finals of the Rock inter-school football tournament edging out Sri Baldev Sanskrit High School, Masaurhi 5-4 via sudden death at the outer ground of the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Thursday.
Akhilesh gave Byapur boys the much-needed lead in the 10th minute. Zakir Ansari made it 1-1 in the 29th minute. Both teams took break for a drink at 1-1.
The second half saw keen tussle between the teams. In the 38th minute Masaurhi boys made a good move from the left as Avinash and Sahil combined well to put the ball on the rival box. Sahil shot a power floater but Tunnu headed it out.
The regulation time of the match ended 1-1. Peanlty shootouts were introduced but both the teams could covert three into goals. At 4-4, sudden death rule came into force and Byapur team shot home to emerge 5-4 winners.
