Patna, November 25, 2009:
Supaul edged past Arwal 5-3 via shootouts while Bhagalpur got a walkover against Khagaria on the fourth day of Bihar State football championships for the Moinul Haq Trophy in Purnia on Wednesday.
According to information reached here, Anil Kumar put Arwal into the lead in the 19th minute through his solo effort. Shambhu Kumar made it 2-0 in the 30th minute of the match.
Arwal were leading 2-0 at the end of first half. In the second half, Supaul fought back as Raju Kumar reduced the lead in the 60th minute. Raju found the target once against to bring in the equalizer in the 77th minute. Penalty shootouts came into force for the result. Supaul struck three goals while Arwal found the target once. Raju Kumar of Supaul was adjudged man of the match.
In the second match, Khagaria failed to turn up against Bhagalpur.
