St Michael's High School 'A' start in style


Patna, November 6, 2009:
St Michael’s High School ‘A’ and ‘B’, Patna Central School ‘A’ and ‘B’ and Don Bosco Academy won their respective team event encounters on the opening day of inter-school table tennis tournament at the Secretariat Hall here on Friday.

St Michael’s High School ‘A’ struggled to down Loyola High School ‘B’ 3-2, Patna Central School ‘A’ swept past Loyola High School ‘B’ 3-0, St Michael’s High School ‘B’ trounced LVZ School ‘A’ 3-0, Patna Central School ‘B’ crushed Don Bosco Academy 3-0; Don Bosco Academy edged past St Michael’s High School ‘C’ 3-1 and Delhi Public School tamed Holy Mission 3-1.

Earlier, Bihar Government's Chief Secretary, Anup Mukhaerjee inaugurated the tournament in a colouful function. He also played a game. A robot table tennis machine was also inaugurated in the function. Bihar Government's Public Relation Department secretary Rajesh Bhushan, Irrigation secretary Ajay Nayak and a dozen of senior government officials attended the opening function.
Mukesh Roy, secretary, Bihar Table Tennis Association (BTTA), Dilip Gandhi, treasurer, BTTA and international table tennis player, Tapan Kanti Das were present at the opening function.
