Sri Ganesh High School, Bakhtiyarpur in last 8

Patna, November 1, 2009: Defending champions Sri Ganesh High School, Bakhtiyarpur and Sri Ram Govind Prasad Sah High School, Byapur moved into the quarterfinals of the second Rock inter-school soccer tournament at the outer ground of the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Sunday.

In the first match, Sri Ram Govind Prasad Sah High School clinched a hard-fought lone goal win Patna Central School. Striker Ravishankar Kumar shot home the match winner in the 22nd minute of the game.

Patna Central School boys fought hard to equalize the lead but of no avail.

In the second match of the day, Sri Ganesh High School tamed Don Bosco Academy 2-0.

Right from the sart, Sri Ganesh High School, Bakhtiyarpur boys dominated the proceedings and did not allow their rivals to make worthwhile attempt towards their goal. In a fast paced game, Sujit Kumar drew the first blood in the 18th minute off a pass from Govind. Chandan completed the tally in the second half.
