Ranchi Zone corner glory

Ranchi Zone emerged champions at the end of three-day Mahatma Hans Raj Aryan Tournament – 2009 at the Mithilesh Stadium here on Monday. Patna Zone got the second position.

Chief guest Abhyanand, ADG, Bihar Police distributed the prizes. Regional Director Dr. RK Chauhan and Principal-cum-convenor of Patna Zone Dr. AC Jain felicitated the chief guest.

Table tennis: Delhi Zone (winners), Rajasthan Zone (runners-up).

Kabaddi: Panchkula Zone (winners) and U.P./Uttranchal (runners-up).

Judo: Chhattisgadh Zone (winners) and Ranchi Zone (runners-up).

Badminton: Ranchi Zone (winners) and Patna (runners-up).

Kho-kho: Patna Zone (winners) and Ranchi (runners-up).

Hockey: Ranchi Zone (winners) and Rajasthan (runners-up).

Cricket: Delhi Zone (winners) and Ranchi Zone (runners-up).

Archery: 1st Ranchi Zone, 2nd Panchkula Zone, 3rd Rajasthan Zone.

High Jump: 1st Satye, Ranchi Zone, 2nd Amit Kumar Srivastava, Ranchi Zone and Vaibhv Pandit U.P./Uttranchal Zone combined.

4 x 400 M Relay Race: 1st Ranchi Zone, 2nd Patna Zone, 3rd M.P./Chhattisgarh Zone.

400 M: 1st Ravi Kumar, Ranchi Zone, 2nd Vaibhav Pandit, U.P./Uttranchal Zone, 3rd Binod Kumar, Ranchi Zone.
