Patna, November 13, 2009: Patna ‘A’ got off to a blazing start trouncing Madhepura 3-0 in the team event of the Prof BP Rai memorial 58th Bihar state and inter-district table tennis championships at the Bihar Young Men’s Institute here on Friday.In another match of the day, Patna ‘B’ thrashed Muzaffarpur 3-0.
Earlier, Sanjay Singh, MLC and president, Bihar Table Tennis Association (BTTA) inaugurated the tournament in a colourful function. Former state champion and Patna District Table Tennis Association secretary Dilip Kumar Gandhi welcomed the guests. Mukeh Roy, secretary, BTTA proposed a vote of thanks. Mahadeo Praad Yadav, vice-president, BTTA presided over the function. Jai Praksh Sharma and Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, Sunil Kumar, Rajendra Praad, Rahul Das and Atanu Chatterjee were present at the function.
