Riya emerges sprint queen in Sardar Patel Inter-School Athletics

Patna, December 3, 2015: Kumari Riya emerged as sprint queen racing to gold medal finish in the senior girls’ 100 final of the 13th Sardar Patel Inter-School Athletic Championships at the Patliputra Sports Complex here on Thursday.

Vijaya Singh and Anshusha bagged the silver and bronze medals respectively.

Organised by Sardar Patel Sports and Cultural Foundation, the meet was inaugurated by former MLC Upendra Kumar Singh in a colourful function. KC Mahajan welcomed the guests.

Results:
Junior boys’ 800-m: Rakesh Kumar (gold), Kanishk Chouhan (silver), Dhheraj Kumar (bronze). Shot put: Siddhant (gold), Ritik Raj (silver), Shreyansh (bronze).

Senior boys: 800-m: Sumit Kumar (gold), Chandan Kumar (silver) and Vikas Kumar (bronze). Shot put: Abhishek Singh (gold), Saurabh Rai (silver) and Shubham Kumar (bronze).

Sub-junior boys: 800-m-Roshan Kumar (gold), Md Shahbaz Ahmad (silver) and Sumit Sethi (bronze).Shot put: Saurabh Kumar (gold), Mehul (silver), Ranbir Singh (bronze).

Junior girls: 600-m- Aayushi (gold), Sanskriti (silver) and Pratima (bronze). High jump: Saloni (gold), Kirti Kumari (silver) and Tanya Singh (bronze). Shotput: Shreya Singh (gold), Akanksha (silver) and Khushbu (bronze).

Senior girls:  800-m-Antara Amrit (gold), Deepanjali Singh (silver) and Aayushi Singh (bronze). Shot put: Vaishali (gold), Janhavi (silver) and Saumya (bronze). High jump: Anshumita (gold), Yashri (silver) and Tanya Singh and Shakshi Kumari (both bronze). 

Sub-junior girls: 600-m-Ankita (gold), Akanksha (silver) and Radhika (bronze). High jump: Muskan (gold), Samridhi (silver) and Sukriti (bronze).  Shot put: Shakshi Suman (gold), Riya Kumari (silver) and Sonali (bronze).

Mini girls: 600-m-Sania Raza (gold), Zoha Rahman (silver) and Aditi Priya (bronze).

100-m girls: Cadet- Raj Laxmi (gold), Aditi (silver) and Madhubala (bronze). Mini: Karuna (gold), Shalini (silver) and Satakshi (bronze). Sub-junior: S Fatima (gold), Deepa (silver) and Laxmi (bronze). Junior: Ridhima Singh (gold), Prakriti Shankar (silver) and Achala Sinha (bronze). Senior: Kumari Riya (gold), Vijaya Singh (silver) and Anshusha (bronze).

Notre Dame Academy girls set the track ablaze





Patna, November 8, 2009:
Notre Dame Academy girls set the track ablaze winning six team championships titles of different categories in the Notre Dame Academy inter-school girls athleticchampionships at their home ground here on Sunday.

Notre Dame Avcademy girls clinched the senior team event title while St Michael’s School claimed the second position. In the junior girls’event, the team championships title went in favour of Notre Dame Acadmy while St Michael’s School became the runners-up.
Notre Dame Academy girls won four more titles in sub-junior, mini, cadet and flower girls’ section. DAV Patliputra took the second position in sub-junior girls while DPS won the silver in mini girls section. Julie School were adjudged runners-up in cadetand flower girls sections.

Aishwarya Sinha of Notre Dame Academy won the coveted individual championship honours in senior girls while Sradha Choudhary of the same school hogged limelight in junior group.
Other winners are; Flower girls-Tanya (Notre Dame Academy), cadet girls-Mohini (Notre Dame Academy), mini girls-Suranjana (Notre Dame Academy) and sub-junior girls-Abhilash, Aprna and Sneha (Notre Dame Academy).

Chief guest Brother Jose, Director of Nav Deepti School, Patna gave away prizes at a colourful closing ceremony. The Parent Teacher Association of Notre Dame Academy organised the meet to celebrate the golden jubilee of the school.

Earlier on the first day, Notre Dame Academy girls cornered glory claiming 33 medals in the track and filed events. Aishwarya of the hosts school raced to glory in the 400-m run.
Earlier, Aishwarya took the gold medal in 100-m sprint. Abha Suman of Notre Dame Academy and Swapanil got the second and third positions respectively.
Principal of St Xavier’s High School Father George inaugurated the function. Notre Dame Academy Principal Sister Tessy, Sister Sonia, Sister Neeta and Director of Bihar Cricket Academy Amikar Dayal were present in the opening function.
PTA president Smita Labh welcomed the guests.

Shot put junior: Arpalenit (NDA I), Ranjeet (BD Public School II), Saina Mahmood (NDA III). Long jump sub junior: Abhilasha (NDA I), Sivani (NDA II), Aparna (NDA III).
Long jump junior: Pranati (NDA I), Ishu (Krishna Niketan II), Deepan (NDA, III).
200-m flower girls: Tanya (NDA I), Prakriti (NDA II), Rami Bharati (Krishna Niketan III).
200-m cadet girls: Mohani (NDA I), Shanti Abhilesh (St Julie II),Priya (NDA III).
200-m mini girls: Surania (NDA I), Anjalika (Hartman School II), Stuti Priya (DPS III).
200-m sub-junior girls: Aparna (NDA I), Gloria (NDA II), Nishi Rani (International School III).
200-m junior girls: Shradha (NDA I), Ira (NDA II), Anjali (St Michael’s III).
200-m senior girls: Aishwariya (NDA I), Abha (NDA II), Swapnil (St Michael’s III).
