Hosts Azad Sporting, Jalkaoura, bowed out of Unity Cup All-India football tournament losing to Junior Army XI, Lucknow 0-2 at Jalkaoura (Khagaria) on Tuesday.
In the second match of day, GTC Shillong struggled to down Junior Mohammedan Sporting Club 1-0.
In the first match, Govind Ghosh of Army XI Lucknow stole the show with his dazzling display. Ghosh scored a brilliant goal with a power-packed shot that was treated to be the best thus far in the tournament. He was later adjudged man of the match.
The second match witnessed an intense battle between the two teams. Despite shining in splashes both the teams failed to break the dead lock in first half.
After the lemon break, Nadum Bhutia scored the match-winner for Shillong in the 65th minute. Deepak Shreshta of GTC won the man of the match award. Three players received yellow cards during the match
