Rebika of Patna Women’s College won the women’s singles title of the Star India state-level tenni-koit championships defeating her teammate Sugandha 2-1 at Bankipore Government Girls School, courts here on Thursday.
Priyanka Dayal of Arya Kanya Vidyalaya clinched the under-16 singles title outplaying Sakshi Kumari of Dayanand Girls School 2-0. Mala Kumari of Bankpore Girls High School captured the under14 singles crown beating her school mate Smrit Kumari 2-1 in the final. The under-12 singles title was won by Sonu Kumari of Bankipore Girls School. Sonu struggled to beat Puja Kuamri of Dayanand Girls School 2-1.
Arya Kanya pair of Akansha Lal and Priyanka won the doubles title defeating the Dayanand Girls School’s pair of Sakshi and Khushbu 2-0.
At the end, Star India Constructions chairman-cum-managing director SB Prasad gave away the prizes.Bankipore Girls School principal Bilkis Jehan presided over the function while Bihar Tenni-Koit Association secretary Neeraj Kumar Pappu proposed a vote of thanks.
