Bihar Police struggled to down Chapra 25-18, 25-22 in the inaugural match of the Bihar State inter-district volleyball championships at Ami village in Chapra on Thursday.
Earlier, Sports Minister Renu Devi and Rajiv Pratap Rudi, MP, inaugurated the tournament. Speaking on the occasion Renu Devi said the government would soon construct a stadium at Ami High School ground soon.
NIS coach and a member of the organizing committee Pramod Kumar Singh said 28 men teams affiliated to Bihar Volleyball Association would vie for top honours. Ten teams would fight it out in the women's section, he added.
