Patna men and Bhagalpur women reigned supreme in the Bihar State inter-district volleyball championships at Ami in Dighwara (Saran) on Sunday.
Patna claimed the men’s title defeating Begusarai in an absorbing five-setter 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 17-25, 15-9.
Bhagalpur women too struggled hard to tame Begusarai 25-23, 25-23, 25-26, 26-28, and 15-7 to clinch the crown, Bhagalpur women won the first two sets but Begusarai bounced back in the next two to make it a 2-2. The decider, however, turned out to be a nearly one-sided affair as Bhagalpur completed the task easily at 15-7.
Earlier in the men’s semi-finals, Patna beat Bihar Police while Begusarai prevailed over Sanmastipur.
