Bihar state table tennis championship will be held at the Bihar Young Men’s Institute here from December 7, according to Mukesh Roy, secretary, Bihar Table Tennis Association.
He said the last date for entry is December 5. Men’s, women’s singles, junior boys, girls singles, sub-junior boys, girls singles, cadet boys and cadet girls singles events would be held during the meet, he added
He said all affiliated units of the Bihar Table Tennis Association would participate in the tournament. Roy also named Patna District Table Tennis Association secretary Dilip Gandhi as convener of the championships.
Star India state-level tenni-koit tournament
Star India women’s tenni-koit championship will be held here from December 8, according to Bihar Tenni-Koit Association secretary Niraj Kumar Pappu.
He said Bankipore Girls High School, Patna Central School, Arya Kanya Vidyalaya, Dayanand Girls High School, JD Women’s College, Patna Women’s College and Rajkiya Mahila Mahavidyalaya had confirmed their participation.
He said the organizers had decided to provide playing kits to all participants. About 250 players from different school and colleges of Patna had sent their entries, he said.
Mastermind chess from December 18
The fourth Airtel mastermind prize-money inter-school chess tournament will now begin at Rajendra Nagar Higher Secondary School hall from December 18, according to tournament director Rakesh Ranjan..
Earlier, the tournament was scheduled to begin from December 6. Ranjan said, due to some technical reasons, the date had been extended. Now, the last date for entry is December 17. The championship is being organised by Association for People’s Welfare and Development (APWAD).
