Samastipur won their last league match of their super league pool in the Bihar cricket Association Twenty20 inter-district cricket championship outplaying Bhagalpur by five wickets at Rajendra Stadium in Chapra on Tuesday. With this win Samastipur moved into the final.
Batting first, Bhagalpur made 125 for the loss of seven wickets off 20 overs. Vasuki Nath (24), Rahul (22), Sandeep (20) and Shekhar (20) did the bulk of the scoring. Sanjeev got three wickets. In reply, Samastipur achieved the target off 18.5 overs losing five wickets. Sumit of Samastipur, who scored 36 runs, was declared man of the match.
SIS Cup: Buxar High School move up
Buxar High School decimated Christ Church School by 120 runs in the SIS Cup Randhir Verma memorial inter-school cricket tournament at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Tuesday.
Rahul of Buxar, who made 29 runs and took two wickets, was adjudged man of the match.In the second match of the day, JAS Cricket Academy, Buxar, trounced Nanhi Public School by 68 runs. Vinayak of JAS Cricket Academy, who claimed four wickets for 12 runs, was declared man of the match.
PDCA league from December 6
The Patna District Cricket Association (PDCA) senior division league will begin from December 6 at the Patna Science College ground, according to convener of the league Arun Singh. Patna College will take on Kamla Nehru Cricket Club in the opening match. Matches will start from 9 am.
