Payal Kumari of Madhepura will take on Shubha Sabbal in the junior girls’ singles final of the RI Singh memorial Bihar state table tennis championships at the Bihar Young Men’s Institute here on Tuesday.
In the semi-finals played on Monday, Payal blasted Smita Ravi of Samastipur 11-8, 11-8, 11-5 while Shubha Sabbal drubbed Varsha Bhagyasri 11-6, 11-9, 11-8.
Piyush D Gandhi, Tushar Kanti, Suman Kumar, Abhishek, Nabaid-ur-Rehman, Amit Kumar, Mahesh Dhakkar, Ricky Kumar, Animesh Mishra, Vivek Nishad, Abhishek Perywal, Saurav Basotia, Akash Kumar, Aniket, Nirmal Rai and Avinash Kumar Bhashkar moved into the third round of the sub-junior boys’ singles posting victories in their respective matches.

School team championship: Patna Central School (PCS) ‘B’ beat Delhi Public School (DPS) 3-0; PCS ‘B’ beat MPS, Araria 3-1; St Xavier’s High School beat Loyola High School ‘B’ 3-1; DAV Public School, BSEB Colony beat Loyola High School ‘B’ 3-0; DPS beat Loyola High School ‘A’ 3-1 and PCS ‘A’ beat DAV Public School, BSEB Colony 3-0.
