University of Madras emerged overall champions in the All-India inter-university chess championship with 17 points at Bodh Gaya on Friday. The championship was organized by Magadh University at its Bodh Gaya campus.
Calcutta University got the second position with 15 points. Osmania University too earned as many points to finish third on progressive scores.
SRM University and Delhi University bagged the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
