Zig-Zag Cricket Club, Buxar humiliated Ashwani Public School by seven wickets in the Randhir Verma memorial inter-school cricket tournament for the SIS Cup at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Sunday.
Sajid Fridi of Zig-Zag Club, who claimed five wickets, was declared man of the match.
Batting first, Ashwani Public School made 66 runs in 18.3 overs. Anmol Boni (20) and Anmol Sachdeva (11) reached the double figures. Sajid Fridi ran through the Ashwani Public School innings claiming five wickets for 18 runs. Pankaj and Rajesh took three and two wickets each for 11 and 10 runs, respectively.
In reply, Buxar boys notched up the required runs off 7.5 overs for the loss of three wickets. Pankaj (33) and Sajid Fridi (17) shone with the bat. Sumit captured two wickets for 17 runs.
Dony Polo School in Super-30 final
Dony Polo Public School (seniors) moved into the final of Super 30 Challenge Cup inter-school cricket tournament defeating Concept Academy by 41 runs at the Patna College ground here on Sunday.
Kumar Aditya of Dony Polo, who made 28 runs and took two wickets, was declared man of the match.
Batting first Dony Polo boys scored 134 runs off 26.4 overs. In reply, Concept Academy could manage 93 runs off 26.3 overs.
