Patna, December 6
Stage is set for the 63rd Bihar State table tennis championship to be held at the Bihar Young Men's Institute in Patna from December 7. Bihar Table Tennis Association secretary Mukesh Roy said the tournament would be dedicated to former secretary of the association late RI Singh.
Organizing secretary and Patna District Table Tennis Association secretary Dilip Kumar Gandhi said that all arrangements had been done for smooth conduct of the tournament. He said the four-day meet would be conducted on league-cum-knockout basis.
Gandhi said all the affiliated units of the BTTA including State Bank of India, Reserve Bank of India, AG Office and Secretariat Sports Club had confirmed their participations.
Mishri Lal remembered
Office-bearers and members of the Bihar Swimming Association remembered its founder secretary Mishri Lal on his death anniversary. The association on Friday organized a meeting at the Telegraph Recreation Club to pay tributes to Mishri Lal.
29 Bihar Battalion claim title
29 Bihar Bn NCC claimed the inter-battalion NCC football tournament title beating 1 Bihar Artillery 2-0 in the final at the NCC Bhawan ground, Rajendra Nagar here on Friday.
Dr Dalvir Singh distributed the prizes. Col Prem Prakash, Col PK Pandit, Lt Col AC Cherian and Lt Col AK Pandey graced the prize distribution function.
