St Andrew’s Inter School, Gorakhpur earned a semi-final spot in the 24th All India Sukhdeo Narain memorial inter-school cricket tournament drubbing Bokaro Public School, Bokaro by seven wickets at the DAV Public School, BSEB Colony ground here on Sunday.
Rakesh Yadav of St Andrew’s School, who remained on 58 runs, was declared man of the match.
Bokaro skipper, Rohit Kumar got the toss of coin in his favour did not hesitate to bat first. But his decision boomeranged as his team crumbled out for paltry 100 on the board off 26.4 overs. Danish Khan, RR Dubey and Rakesh Yadav all took two wickets each.
In reply, St Andrew’s School raced to the target off 13.4 overs losing only three wickets on the way. Besides Rakesh blazing half-century, Prabhakar made 22 runs. Kushagra Mani took two wickets for 30 runs for Bokaro School.
