The champion of 100m is crowned as track king and on Saturday Ayush Kumar of Patna Central School got the title winning the blue ribbon event in 12.7 seconds on the second day of the Sardar Patel inter-school athletic championships at the outer ground of the Moinul Haq Stadium.
Notre Dame Academy’s Abha Suman emerged track queen covering the distance in 15 seconds.
Sunny Kumar and Navin Kumar (both Hansraj School) followed Ayush for silver and bronze medals respectively.
An intense battle for supremacy over 100m senior girls was the highlight of day’s events. Nikki Kumari tried her best to finish second with 15.1 seconds while Sonal Singh of St Karen’s School finished third with 15.59 seconds.
Technical committee director of 2010 Commonwealth Games Arun Kumar Keshri and Bihar Athletic Association secretary Liaquat Ali Khan were the chief guests at second day events and gave away the medals and prizes to the winners.
