St Karen’s High School, Gola Road (Danapur) proved their supremacy once again at the 7th edition of the Sardar Patel inter-school athletic championships retaining the overall championships title with 187 points to their kitty on the third and final day at the outer ground of the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Sunday.

It was their sixth successive championships title in seven appearences. Notre Dame Academy with 150 points won the overall champions in girls' section while St Karen’s High School, Patna with 92 points won the overall champions title in boys' section.
Komal Kumari with 15 points and Sunny Kumar with 13 points were adjudged as individual champions in the senior girls and boys groups respectively. Ashish Singh of Gyan Niketan with 10 points and Shraddha Choudhary of Notre Dame Academy claimed the individual crowns in the junior boys and girls categories.
Abdul Bari Siddiqui, MLA gave away the prizes in gala closing function. He also released a souvenir. Upendra Kumar Singh, president, Sardar Patel Sports and Cultural Foundation welcomed the guests while KC Mahajan, general secretary of the foundation proposed a vote of thanks. Krishna Choudhary, DIG, Tirhut Range, Sanjay Rai, vice-president, Bihar Athletics Association (BAA), Md Shamim, former MLC, Arun Keshri, technical director, 2010 Commonwealth Games and Liaquat Ali, secretary, BAA were present at the function.
