Former Bihar under-19 player Deepak Kumar slammed a belligerent knock of 70 runs as Dony Polo Public School scripted a massive 100-run over St Andrew’s High School in the first semi-final match of the 24th All India Sukhdeo Narain memorial inter-school cricket tournament at the DAV Public School, BSEB Colony ground here on Thursday.
Deepak's knock came off 60 balls with four boundaries and as many mighty heaves over the fence. Later, he was declared man of the match.
Put into bat by Gorakhpur skipper, Durgesh Kumar, who won the toss, Dony Polo boys made the mincemeat of rivals' attack and scored runs at their will to pile up 186 for eight wickets off 30 overs. Other notable contributors were Kislay Kanan (41) and Nitish Anand (25). Prabhakar Rawat took two wickets.
In reply, Gorakhpur innings folded at 86 runs off 17.3 overs. Kislay Kanan, who had a good run through out the tournament, claimed four wickets.

SIS Cup: Sports Hostel (Patna) win
Sports Hostel, Patna crushed Kumar Classes by six wickets in the Randhir Verma memorial inter-school cricket tournament for the SIS Cup at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Thursday.
Prince of Sports Hostel, who made 27 runs and took two wickets, was declared man of the match.In the other match of the day, Buddha International School failed to turn up against RPS School.
