Yellow Panthers won the Patna Women’s College annual sports meet throwball event title defeating Red Robins in an exciting three-set final 15-8, 11-15 and 15-12 at their College ground here on Saturday.
Yellow Panthers won the Patna Women’s College annual sports meet throwball event title defeating Red Robins in an exciting three-set final 15-8, 11-15 and 15-12 at their College ground here on Saturday.
Yellow Panthers took the first set easily but Red Robins bounced back to capture second set at 15-11. The third set was equally poised as both the teams fought hard to earn points. Eventually Yellow Panthers clinched the set and the match at 15-12.
Anumeh Prakash of Yellow Panthers and Kamana Bharati of red Robins were declared best all rounder and best scorer of the tournament.
Before the start of the final, players were introduced to Gauri Das, assistant director, art culture and youth affairs department. Patna Women’s College principal Sister Doris D Souza and Throball Association of Bihar secretary Neeraj Kumar Pappu were present at the final match.

Eastern Command won the Inter-Command hockey trophy defeating Western Command 1-0 at Dung Dung Stadium, Danapur, here on Saturday.
