Sukhdeo cricket: MS Academy move up

MS Memorial Academy chalked out a fluent 51-run win over Millennium Convent in a second round match of the 24th Sukhdeo Narain memorial inter-school cricket tournament at the DAV School (Board Colony) ground here on Monday.

Ravi Sinha of MS Academy, who excelled with the bat with 74 (7x4) runs, was adjudged man of the match.

Batting first, Ms Academy boys made 168 for the loss of six wickets off 30 overs. Ravi Shankar (39) and Rishi Sinha (14) were the other notable run getters. Satish captured wo wickets for Millennium Convent.

In reply, Millennium Convent boys could muster 117 runs off 18.3 overs losing all the wickets. Satish 22 (5x4) and Ajit scored 21 gave some brief resistance against probing attack of MS Academy. Abhinav was the wrecker-in-chief claiming four wickets for 33 runs.

Dony Polo School in last 16

Dony Polo School (junior) crushed Ekta Public School (Varanasi) by seven wickets in the Spuer 30 Challenge Cup cricket tournament at the Patna College ground here on Monday.

Brief scores: Ekta Public School: 140 all out off 23.3 overs (Rohan 42, Pramod Sant 18, Ashutosh 10, Vivek 3 for 24, Mansih 2 for 12, Rajnish 2 for 17). Dony Polo School: 142 for 3 off 23.2 overs ( Nitesh 42, Rajnish 21, Nishant 31, Sameer 2 for 11, Rohan 1 for 19).
