Sukhdeo cricket: St Karen's School advance

Patna, November 25
St Karen's School got their appointed place in the pre-quarter-finals of the 24th All India Sukhdeo Narain memorial inter-school cricket tournament trouncing MS Memorial School (seniors) by nine wickets in a third round match at the DAV Public School, BSEB Colony ground here on Monday.

Jainendra of St Karen's School, who claimed four wickets for 13 runs, was declared man of the match.

St Karen's School won the toss and asked MS Academy to bat first. MS Memorial boys managed to score 85 runs off 25.1 overs. Ravi Sinha (22, 3x4), Ravi (14) and Ashish (14) provided some useful contributions. Jainendra and Kamlesh took four and two wickets each for 13 and 14 runs respectively.

In reply, St Karen's School boys surpassed the target in 22.1 overs for the loss of one wicket. Dharamveer got the lone wicket for MS Memorial School.

Randhir Verma Inter School cricket from Nov 29
The 10th Randhir Verma inter-school cricket tournament for the SIS Cup will be held at the Patna College ground from November 29, according to Satish Kumar 'Raju', organising secretary.

He said Ashwani Public School would face St Karen's School in the inaugural match.
