Neha claims triathlon, aquathlon titles

Patna, November 1
Neha Singh annexed the Bihar state junior triathlon and aquathlon championship titles held at the DPS, Danapur on Saturday.

The sport of aquathlon consists of a continuous, two-stage race involving
followed by running. A triathlon is an endurance sports event consisting of swimmings, cycling and runnings over various distances.

Bihar team for the junior National triathlon and aquathlon championship to be held at Aurangabad in Maharashtra from November 22, was also selected during the meet.

Team: Gahanshyam, Raushan Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Babloo, Himanshu kumar, Kunwar Ayush, Neha Singh, Baby Kumari, Shanti Kumari and Savitri Kumari.

BSNL Bihar badminton and chess teams


The Bihar Telecom will participate in the All India BSNL badminton and chess tournaments to be held at Rajkot and Meerut respectively, according to BSNL Sports Board secretary Prakash Nath.

Teams
Badminton: Neeraj Kumar, Vimal Vivkey, Dilip Kumar Singh, Vijay Kumar Singh, Md Zahiruddin and Purnima Kumari. Manager: DK Singh.

Chess: Raj Kumar Chauhan, Bhakti Gopal Jha, Nathuni Mochi and Nathuni Kunwar. Manager: Satyanarain Prasad. Coach: Asrarul Haque.

Bihar chess team for junior National

The Bihar team left Patna on Saturday for West Godavari to take part in the junior National chess championship (boys & girls) starting from November 4, according to All Bihar Chess Association secretary Arvind Kumar Sinha.

Teams
Boys: Praveen Kumar, Nilesh Shankar, Ved Prakash Sinha, Rishi Shankar, Vivek Rohan Sharma, Ganesh Kumar and Shubham; Manager: Veena Kumari; Coach: Jawahar Singh.
Girls: Pallavi, Srushti Gautam, Surbhi Raj and Prgya Raj; Manager: Mamta Singh; Coach: Parmanand Thakur.
