BCA T20 cricket: Patna, Bhagalpur in last eight

Quarter-finalists have been spotted in the Bihar Cricket Association Twenty20 cricket tournament being organized at eight different venues of the state.

Patna, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Muzffarpur, Samastpur, Bhagalpur, Saharsa and Saran district teams made their grades for the quarter-final stage of the tournament winning their respective matches on Tuesday

At Patna College ground, Patna chalked out a big 131 runs win over Jamui. Batting first Patna made impressive 178 runs for the loss of five wickets off 20 overs and then bundled out their rivals for a paltry 47 runs off 11.2 overs.

Indrajeet (39), Mridul (25) gave a solid 70-run opening stand for Patna. Indrajeet’s knock contained five nicely executed boundaries and one might heave over the fence. Kundan Gupta , Nishant and Aditya did some lusty hitting at the close of the Patna innings to take the total to 178. Kundan Gupta slammed a 19-ball 29 with three boundaries and one six. Nishant too played a blazing knock of 39 off 22 balls while Aditya struck 29 off only 10 balls. Sawan Arya captured three wickets for 35 runs.

In reply, Jamui batsmen bowed to the pace bowling of Arvinda Jha, who claimed five wickets for 9 runs off 3.2 overs. Rehan Khan got two wickets for 4 runs.

Meanwhile, Bihar Cricket Association secretary Ajay Narain Sharma said, the quarter-final league matches will be held at Chapra from November 30 to December 7.

178 for five off 20 overs (Indrajeet 39, Mridul 25, Kundan Gupta 29 not out, Nishant 39,Aditya 29 not out, Sawan Arya three for 3, Amrendra 2 for 21).
Jamui: 47 all out off 11.2 overs (Arvinda Jha 5 wickets for 9, Rehan Khan 2 wickets for 4).

At Muzaffarpur
Muzaffarpur beat East Champaran by five wickets.
East Champaran: 128 for 7 off 20 overs (Faisal gain 53, Munchun29, Dinesh and Ranjan took two and one wicket apiece respectively).
Muzaffarpur: 131 for five ( Chetan 31, Dinesh 22, Raj Singh and Vijay grabbed two wickets each).

At Bhagalpur
Bhagalpur beat Begusarai by three wickets.
Begusarai: 139 for 9 off 20 overs (Rajkishore 58, Shekhaer Anand and Ajit took two wickets each).
Bhagalpur: 143 for 7 off 19 overs (Vikash Yadav 27, Devi Shankar 24, Rajkumar took three wickets for 21 runs).

At Siwan
Saran beat Siwan by two wickets
Siwan: 144 for 5 off 20 overs ( Navnit 2, Md Kaif 36).
Saran: 148 for 8 off 19.3 overs (Prashant 20, Ravi 26 not out, Kaisar 31 not out, Rizwan 2 for 14).

At Aurangabad
Aurangabad beat Kaimur by 25 runs.
Aurangabad: 120 for 6 off 20 overs (Ranjan Pnadey 49, Raju three wickets for 40 runs).
Kaimur: 95 all out( Wasim 3, Ranjan four wickets for 26 runs).

At Samastipur
Samstipur beat Lakhisarai by 107 runs
Samastipur: 133 for 9 off 20 overs (Gautam took four while Rajeev took three wickets)
Lakhisarai: 2 all out .

At Jehanabad

Bhojpur beat Gaya by 8 runs
Bhojpur: 101 for 9 off 20 overs (Rohit Raj 3, Mithilesh 2, Mangal three for 18).
Gaya: 92 all out (Chhotu 21, Vinay 34, Purushuttam four wickets for 12 runs).

At Saharsa
Saharsa beat Khagaria by 41 runs
Saharsa: 156 for 8 off 20 overs (Nitosh 2, Kundan 30, Badal 2, Ajit 2 wickets for 23 runs, Sumit 2 wickets for 45 runs).
Khagaria: 115 for 6 off 20 overs ( Rahul 33, Mukesh 1, Nitosh 4 wickets for 26 runs).
