Semi-finalists have been spotted in the All India Tennis Association (AITA) Talent Series tournament at the Patliputra Colony courts here on Thursday.
The boys’ under-18 singles saw Adamya Vikrant, Ishan Ravi (both from Bihar), Amaritanjay Kumar and Siddhartha Vishkarma (both from UP) booking their berths in the semi-finals.
Rashi of UP entered the semi final in the girls U-18 singles beating Madhu Jaiswal of Bihar 6-0, 6-0 in the quarter final. Vidya Bharathi (Karnataka) too made her place in the girls’ U-16 semi-final defeating Madhu Jaiswal 6-0, 6-0 in the quarter-final.
Results: Boys U-18 singles (quarter-finals): Adamya Vikrant (Bihar) beat Pradeep Kumar (UP) 6-4, 6-2; Amaritanjay Kumar (UP) beat Venkat Siddhartha (Bihar) 6-0, 6-1; Ishan Ravi (Bihar) beat Rishu Raj (Bihar) 6-2, 6-4 and Siddhartha Vishwakarma (UP) beat Jay Pratap (Delhi) 6-0, 6-4.
Boys’ U-16 singles (quarter-finals): Siddhartha Vishwakarma (UP) beat Rahul Singh (Delhi) 2-6, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (1); Aditya Kumar Vishwakarma (UP) beat Ishan Ravi (Bihar) 6-0, 6-3; Ishan Priyadarshi (Bihar) beat Pradeep Kumar (UP) 6-2, 6-3 and Adamya Vikrant (Bihar) beat Rishu Raj (Bihar) 6-3, 7-5.
