St Michael's 'A' too good for International School

St Michael’s ‘A’ slammed International School by 87 runs in the inaugural match of the 11th Father Arrupe memorial inter-school cricket tournament at their home ground here on Saturday.

Father Rectar and Father Joseph Maripuram, SJ jointly inaugurated the tournament. St Michael’s High School principal Father Peter welcomed the guests.

Batting first St Michael’s ‘A” collected 137 runs for one wicket off 20 overs. Jayanto Kristo top scored with 70 runs. His innings contained seven boundaries and two mighty sixes over the fence. Gaurav made 40 runs.

In reply, International School crumbled out for paltry 50 on the board. Jayanto, Aman and Vikram took two wickets each.

St Michael’s ‘A’: 137 for one wicket in 20 overs (Jayanto Kristo-70 (7x4, 2x6), Gaurav-40)
International School: 50 all out in 12 overs (Shubham-13, Abhishek-2/12, Jayanto-2/4, Aman-2/13, Vikram-2/10)
