Devpriya Jaiswal of Bihar clinched the boys’ under-18 singles title of the AITA talent series blanking Shashank Sharma of Delhi 6-0, 6-0 in the final at the Patliputra tennis court here on Friday.

It was mere a cake-walk for Devpriya, who had been stunning throughout the tournament. He did not give a bit of breathing space to his rival Shashank and won the two sets convincingly.
Devpriya’s elder sister, Shruti Jaiswal earned a grand double in the five-day tournament. She first claimed the girls’ under-18 singles crown beating Ayushi Yadav of Uttar Pradesh 6-1, 6-0 then pairing with Ayushi Yadav, she won the girls’ under-18 doubles title thrashing the Uttar Pradesh combination of Yogita Kumari and Shivana Joyce Zaiddi 6-0, 6-1 in the final.
The UP pair, however, amended their fault in the under-16 doubles final, beating Madhu Jaiswal (Bihar) and Shekh Naaz 6-1, 6-1 in the final.

Adamya Vikrant (Bihar) and Monalisa Chakraborty of Jharkhand bagged the boys’ and girls’ under-16 singles titles respectively. Adamya tamed Shashank Sharma by 6-4, 6-3 while Monalisa beat Shekh Naaz of Uttar Pradesh 6-3, 6-1 for the crowns.
Earlier on Thursday, Ayushi Yadav of Delhi set up title clash with Shruti Jaiswal of Bihar in the girls’under-18 singles final. In the first semi-final, Shruti defeated Monalisa Chakarborty of Jharkhand 6-2, 6-1 while Ayushi prevailed over Shivana Zaidi of UP 6-2, 6-4.

Adamya Vikrant (Bihar) beat Venkat Siddharth (Bihar) 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-2; Shashank Sharma (Delhi) beat Aman Kumar (Bihar) 6-3, 6-2.
Girls’ under-16 singles (semi-finals):
Monalisa Chakarborty (Jharkhand) beat Ayushi Yadav (UP) 4-6, 6-2, 6-1; Sheikh Naaz (UP) beat Madhu Jaiswal (Bihar) 7-6 (4), 6-3.
