MM Bose cricket: GAC in semi-finals

Gardanibagh Athletic Club (GAC) stormed into the semi-finals of the second MM Bose memorial cricket tournament thrashing Kadamkuan Cricket Club by 105 runs at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Tuesday.

In another match, Rajbanshinagar Cricket Club snatched four- wicket victory over Engineering College and got a berth in the quarter-finals.

In reply to GAC’s mammoth 225 for 7 off 25 overs, Kadamkuan could manage to score 120 runs. Dharmesh Bharti was the wrecker-in-chief for the winners claiming four wickets for 32 runs. He also scored 35 runs. Dharsmesh was declared man of the match.

In the second match, Engineering College scored 123 runs off 23.3 overs and Rajbanshinagar boys faced no worthwhile difficulty in reaching the target.

Indrajeet Kumar of Rajbanshinagar Club, who scored 57 runs and claimed four wickets for 12 runs, was adjudged man of the match.

Gardanibagh AC: 225 for seven wickets in 25 overs (Arvind Jha-47 not out, Ankit Singh-39, Dharmesh Bharti-35, Saket-25, Aman-23, Kundan-15, Rahul-4/24).
Kadamkuan CC: 120 all out in 17.1 overs (Abhilash-22, Rahul-18, Dharmesh Bharti-4/32, Gaurav Hajara-3/38, Arvind Jha-2/18).

Engineering College: 123 all out in 23.3 overs (Anand-48, Bishwajit-24, Indrajeet Kumar-4/12, Vinit-3/11, Shashi Bhushan-2/17).
Rajbanshinagar CC: 124 for four wickets in 17 overs (Indrajeet Kumar-57, Vinit-14, Dharmendra-2/28)
