Six players were jointly on the top of the table with two points each at the end of second round play of the Bihar state senior rapid chess championships at the Patna Youth Hostel hall here on Wednesday.
Senior pros Vipal Subhashi, Y P Srivastav, P K Singh, Sanjiv Kumar, Sourav Rup and Ashutosh Kumar won their first two round matches with commendable ease to collect full points.
Earlier, Arun Kumar Sinha, MLA, inaugurated the tournament. Arvind Kumar Sinha, secretary All Bihar Chess Association, Satya Prakash, Dilip Kumar Bhagat and Birendra Kumar Upadhyaya (chief arbiter) were present on the occasion.
