Engineering College are Patna District Cricket Association junior division league champions. In a one-sided final Engineering College boys beat Patna Athletic Club (PAC) by 49 runs at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Thursday.
Ritesh was the architect of Engineering College win. He made a blazing 65 runs off 47 balls to guide his side to fighting 182 off 30 overs. Ritesh knock contained eight fours and three sixes. Sajit captured four wickets for 15 runs.
In reply, PAC were in trouble from very start of their innings. They failed to recover from early hiccups and were bowled out for 133 runs off 24.2 overs. Onkar Chanchal was the pick of the bowlers claiming five wickets for 15 runs. Praveen and Anuj took two wickets each. Sajid (38) and Pankaj (25) were the two notable contributors for PAC.
