NYK crowned PDCA Sr league champions

Nehru Yuvak Kendra Cricket Club (NYKCC) are the Patna District Cricket Association (PDCA) senior division league champions. They retained the title defeating State Bank of India (SBI) by eight wickets in the final at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Monday. With this win NYK made it two in a row.


Batting first, SBI made 108 runs in 29.3 overs. In reply, NYKCC reached the target losing only two wickets in 19.5 overs for the loss two wickets.

The final was virtually a one-sided affair as SBI batsmen failed to do well against NYK attack. Rajeev Prasad (23) and Sunil Kumar (16) were the only two batsmen, who did somewhat noteworthy. Anand Priya claimed three wickets for 17 runs while Saurav and Kamalesh bagged two wickets each.

In reply, NYK had no hiccups to surpass the total. They made 113 runs for the loss of two wickets off 19.5 overs. Opener Neeraj played a magnificent knock of unbeaten 49 runs. Nishant (25) and Kumar Aditya (27 not out) were the other praise worthy batsmen.
