State Bank of India (SBI) will face Nehru Yuva Kendra Cricket Club (NYKCC) for the supremacy of Patna District Cricket Association (PDCA) senior division league. In the second semi-final SBI bat Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) by two runs while in the first semi-final NYKCC beat Patna College by 67 runs to set up summit showdown at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Sunday.
Batting first, SBI made 153 for the loss of five wickets off 30 overs with Arvind Jha (40) and Rajeev Prasad (24) contributing well. Ravi Prakash took three wickets for 19 runs.
In reply, BSEB could manage to score 151 off 29.4 overs despite a defiant knock of 40 runs by Ranjeet. Rohit Gupta (33) and Ravi Prakash (32) were the other notable scorers. Sunil Kumar claimed five wickets for 15 runs.
In the other semi-final, NYK scored 173 runs for 7 off 30 overs. Nishant slammed a polished half-century (53). Dilip took three wickets for 34 runs.
In reply, Patna College stumbled out for 106 runs off 24.5 overs. Anand, Kaushik and Shashi all took three wickets each. Amit top scored with 27 runs.
