Now, Bihar State senior chess championship is a FIDE rating tournament.
According to All Bihar Chess Association secretary Arvinda Kumar Sinha, the All India Chess Federation has allotted FIDE Code No.39 to the 41st Bihar State chess championship 2009 to be organised by Madhubani District Chess Association at Town Hall, Madhubani from June10 to 14.
He said ABCA would allow players beyond the regular quota of four from an affiliated unit with uniform rate of regular entry fee keeping in view of the championship being organised for the first time as FIDE rating event.
Dharmendra Kumar, International Arbiter, would conduct the championship with the help oftwo National Arbiters, he added.
