Invincible Shruti Jaiswal of Bihar won the under-18 girls’ singles title of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) talent series fifth leg tournament at the Patliputra Colony courts here on Saturday.
Like her younger brother Devpriya, Shruit too made it five in a row with run way victory over Manuela Gomes of Delhi 6-1, 6-1.
The day was a shocker for Adamya Vikrant of Bihar as he lost the under-16 boys’ singles final to statemate Ishank Ravi 4-6, 6-3, 4-6 in grueling three-setter. Adamya had won the fourth leg of the tournament.
Dr Akhouri B Prasad, secretary, Bihar Lawn Tennis Association, distributed the prizes.
