AITA talent series: It’s a fiver for Devpriya

Indomitable Devpriya Jaiswal of Bihar won his fifth boys' under-18 title in a row within two months in the All India Tennis Association (AITA) talent search series tournament at the Patlputra Colony courts here on Friday.

In an one-sided final Bihar led crushed Arpit Sharma of Rajasthan 6-1, 6-2 to win the fifth leg of this series.

Later, Devpriya combined with Adamya Vikrant, also from Bihar, emerged victorious in the doubles for boys under-18 trouncing Arpit Sharma (Rajasthan) and Srikrishna (Bihar) 6-3, 6-3.

In girls under-16 singles, Dhriti Verma (Delhi) outclassed Maryam Khan (Uttar Pradesh) 6-0 and 6-0.In a keenly-contested doubles final for girls’ under-18, Bihar's Shruti Jaiswal pairing with Delhi's Manuaela Gomes beat Sripriya (Bihar) and Disha Agarwal (Delhi) 6-2, 7-6.

Boys’ U-18 final (Doubles):
Devpriya Jaiswal (Bih)) and Adamya Vikrant (Bih) beat Arpit Sharma (Raj) and Shree Krishna (Bih) 6-3, 6-3.
Boys U-16 semi-finals (doubles):
Adamya Vikrant (Bih) and Venkat Siddharth (Bih) beat Himanshu Sagar (Dli) and Vijyansh Sachdeva (Dli) 6-4, 6-2.
Amritanjay Kumar (UP) and Aditya Vishwakarma (UP) beat Aman Kumar (Bih) and Marcos Gomes (Dli) 6-4, 7-5.
Girls' U-18 final (Doubles):
Shruti Jaiswal (Bih) and Manuela Gomes (Dli) beat Sripriya Sarraf (Bih) and Disha Satish Agarwal (Dli) 6-2, 7-6.
