Little Champs Premier League cricket begins

Patna, January 21, 2011: Little Champs Premier League for U-10 boys got off to a colourful start at the outer ground of the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Friday. In the opening match, Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) thrashed Don Bosco Academy by 10 wickets.

In another match, Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Foundation (RGCF) tamed DAV Public School, BSEB Colony by six wickets.

In the first match, Aman of CAB, who took four wickets, was declared man of the match. Vivek of RGCF, who got four wickets for 10 runs, was named man of the match in the second match.

Earlier, KP Ramaih, Principal Secretary, Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Department (Government of Bihar) inaugurated the tournament. Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary, Personnel Department, and Vinit Vinayak, DIG Patna, were present in the inaugural function. Pratyay Amrit, Secretary, Road Construction Department proposed a vote of thanks while Anis Bari of Tantra Consultancy welcomed the guests.

Brief scores: Don Bosco Academy: 34 all out in 15 overs (Harsh-12, Aman-4/13). CAB: 35 for no loss in 6.1 overs (Piyush-14 not out, Abhishek-7 not out).

DAV Public School: 57 all out in 13.4 overs (Ratnesh-9, Vivek-4/10). RGCF: 61 for four wickets in 10.4 overs (Ritik-12, Aditya-11, Nitesh-1/13, Amit-1/8).
