Bihar women trounce J&K in national hockey

Patna, January 23, 2011: Bihar registered a big 15-1 win over Jammu and Kashmir in a pool “B” league match of the Hockey India senior National women championships at Rai (Sonepat) on Sunday.

According to information received here, Preeti sounded the board four times while Babli and Nilima hit three goals each. Dolly (2), Manpreet (1), Vaishali (1) and Guddi (1) were the other goal scorers for Bihar. Renu hit the consolation goal for J and K.

In the other matches of the day, Chandigarh crushed Gujarat 14-0, Himachal Pradesh trounced Bengal 11-0, Uttar Pradesh rallied to down Chhattisgarh 2-1 and Indian Railways swamped Andhra Pradesh 24-0.
