East Central Railway, Danapur thrashed Supaul 5-0 in the 61st Bihar state football championships for the Moinul Haq Trophy in Purnia on Friday.
According to information reached here, Danapur skipper Rajesh Kumar netted two goals for his team in the 30th and on 76th minutes of the game respectively. Tapas Mandal (22nd), Sanjay Kumar Mandal (44th) and Apurva Nandi (46th) scored one goal each.
In another encounter, Madhubani beat Bhagalpur 5-4 via tiebreaker. Both the teams scored two goals each at the end of the regulation time.
Amarendra Kumar Choudhary (20th) and Navneet Kumar (30th) scored the goals for Madhubani. Shailendra Prasad struck two goals for Bhaglpur to equalize the lead. In the tiebreaker Madhubani slammed three while Bhagalpur converted only two goals.
